Same Day Paratransit Pilot Program

In June 2025, the Marin Transit Board of Directors approved a pilot program to offer Same Day Paratransit service to enrolled riders starting July 1, 2025.

The pilot program was initially offered for a period of six months; in December 2025, the Marin Transit Board of Directors approved an extension of the pilot program for an additional six months. The pilot program will be evaluated on an ongoing basis. Read more about the Same Day Paratransit pilot program here and here

Program Information

  • The Same Day Paratransit Pilot Program is available to all riders enrolled for paratransit service.
  • The pilot program is available for local trips (e.g. those that have both an origin and destination in Marin County) only; regional paratransit trips (e.g. those that have an origin or destination outside or Marin County) are not eligible for this program.
  • All trips will be fulfilled on an as-available basis. If there is no availability, same day paratransit trip requests may be denied.
