  • Youth Ride Free for Summer: Marin Transit is offering free rides for youth riders (18 & under) from June to August 31, 2026!  Youth aged 5 – 18 can take advantage of this promotion and ride free through the county all summer long. Click here for more information.
  • 2026 Muir Woods Shuttle Season: Visit the Muir Woods National Monument car-free! The 2026 Muir Woods Shuttle season began on April 3, 2026. Find tickets and more information at gomuirwoods.com.

  • Sonoma-Marin Area Rail Transit (SMART) | Rider Alerts Transition: SMART riders now have a smarter way to get around the North Bay. Effective June 1, 2026, SMART rider alerts will be delivered through the Transit app. Nixle notifications will no longer be used, so be sure to download the Transit app and turn on notifications to stay informed. Through this partnership, SMART and Transit are making public transit more reliable, connected, and easy to use throughout Sonoma and Marin counties.
  • Transportation Authority of Marin (TAM) | Measure AA Expenditure Plan Adopted: On March 26, 2026, the TAM Board approved amendments to the Measure AA Expenditure Plan following a comprehensive review process and extensive input from the community and our partner agencies. The amendments now move forward for consideration by the Marin County Board of Supervisors and all 11 cities and towns.
  • Transportation Authority of Marin (TAM) | May in Motion Challenge: There's no better time to rethink how you get around. Beginning May 1 and running through May 31, the May in Motion Challenge invites Marin County commuters to embrace active and sustainable transportation, track their trips, and earn exciting new rewards along the way, with extra rewards celebrating Bike to Work Day (May 14) the entire week of May 11-15 with 2x rewards for logged walk and bike trips.
