The Marin Transit Board of Directors set a public hearing for Thursday October 16, 2025 to solicit input from the public on proposed service change recommended in response to the Marin-Sonoma Coordinated Transit Service Plan (MASCOTS). We want to hear from you! The Marin Transit Board of Directors has set a public hearing for October 7, 2024 to provide a forum for members of the public to share their feedback on upcoming changes to regional transfer policies and Clipper fare programs. Join us at the public hearing to learn more about the changes, ask questions, and provide comments.  

Marin Transit is proposing changes to local bus routes and schedules to better align with current ridership demands and improve service reliability. Routes affected include: 22, 23, 23X, 29, 35, 49, 71, 219, 251, 257, 645, & 651. Please review the proposed changes and provide input here, so that we can ensure that our services meet the needs of our community.

Marin County Transit District's Board of Directors approved Marin Transit to explore participation in the region’s means-based transit fare pilot program, which offers a 50% discount on the adult cash fare to eligible low-income riders with household incomes of 200 percent of the federal poverty level or lower. In compliance with Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, Marin Transit staff will conduct Title VI Fare Equity Analysis to evaluate the proposed fare change under the Clipper START program and will start a public engagement process.

The Golden Gate Bridge, Highway and Transportation District will hold a public meeting on Tuesday, June 12, from 5:30-7:00 PM at Whistlestop to talk about the future of the San Rafael Transit Center.
