The Fairgrounds are accessible via the Route 35, the Route 49, and the SMART Civic Center station. Route 71 as well as Route 233 provide service to nearby stops.

Free Fare for the Fair!
Why fight with traffic and parking? Marin Transit provides regular service through the Marin Civic Center and the Marin County Fairgrounds!
Marin Transit is pleased to provide free fare for all regular service during the Marin County Fair. Passengers can ride for free any time between July 1 and July 5, 2026.
This promotion is not available on Marin Access or demand response services.

- Youth Ride Free for Summer: Marin Transit is offering free rides for youth riders (18 & under) from June to August 31, 2026! Youth aged 5 – 18 can take advantage of this promotion and ride free through the county all summer long. Click here for more information.

Great news for anyone 18 & under in Marin County!
Marin Transit is bringing back free rides on all local bus service throughout the summer, beginning June 1st!
To take advantage of this program, simply show a valid K-12 school or government-issued ID to the operator when boarding the bus. Younger children, under age 5, must be accompanied by an adult.
Children and teens can take public transit to their favorite summer destinations - parks, rec centers, summer jobs, and even great places to spend the day like the Northgate Mall, Stinson Beach, or Vintage Oaks!

Marin-Sonoma Coordinated Transit Service (MASCOTS) Plan Launches April 12, 2026 | More Service - Better Connections along the Highway 101 Corridor: As part of regional coordination efforts, in April 2026, Golden Gate Transit, Marin Transit, and SMART are making service changes to improve connections and coordination between agencies to offer more frequent service for riders.
To support these improvements and to adjust service to meet the needs of the community, Marin Transit will be making schedule changes to the following routes: 17, 22, 23, 29, 35, 36, 49, 57, 71, 219, 613, and 619.
